2018 991.2 GT3 RS

In 2018, the updated GT3 RS was unveiled. The new engine featured a 9,000 rpm redline, like in RSR race cars. It also had an extra 20 hp.

For the first time, brake cooling ducts were added to the bonnet. The car is fitted with a giant rear wing (like in the GT2 RS) for increased downforce.

Lightweight glass was used for the rear and side windows. Designed for both the street and the racetrack, the car created a sensation in Nürburgring, where it recorded a lap time of 6:56.4 minutes. Until then, only three Porsches had broken the seven-minute barrier.

Driver reviews

“The steering wheel is as precise and sharp as a scalpel, and the enormous aerodynamic downforce does an amazing job pressing the car to the track,” say racing drivers about the car.

And top that with a flawless PDK gearbox that shifts gear in 10 milliseconds and 380-mm ceramic composite brakes, and you get a real dream car!

Aurelijus Rusteika: “To drive this car fast, you need a high level of mastery and excellent skills. It really is much faster than it seems at first glance. It’s probably the last GT3 RS that you can also drive on the road with, travel.”
